2016-2026

How we responded to the global hunger crisis

FastPrayGive.org was launched in 2016 and, over the span of a decade, donated more than $77,000 to programs that help feed people while working to grow a global movement to end hunger. We engaged hundreds of people to practice the spiritual disciplines of prayer, fasting, and giving to help bring about change.

Each week, participants received an email offering scripture to reflect upon, encouragement for fasting, and a prayer. In addition, Lent and Advent guides accompanied these resources for most years.

In 2020, we released a small group study to offer a glimpse into why and how we could use what John Wesley called the means of grace to bring about change. Since that time, many churches and small groups have used the materials to walk alongside those in need.

In 2025, WesleyMen joined the Prayer and Action Against Hunger Coalition. This global organization presented an opportunity for WesleyMen to adapt and mature our presence in a wider global initiative. Today, WesleyMen board members represent the World Methodist Council in this work.
