WESLEYMEN 25TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION UPDATE
The World Fellowship of Methodist and Uniting Church Men also known as WesleyMen is a global connecting point of men’s ministry for Wesleyan, Methodist, and Uniting denominations. An affiliate organization of the World Methodist Council, our mission is to lead men in Christian Fellowship with a foundation rooted in the actions and words of Jesus Christ. And our three major priorities for the new quinquennium 2025-2029 are summed up into three impactful words– CONNECT, CULTIVATE, COLLABORATE.

WesleyMen 25th Anniversary Souvenir Program
WesleyMen will be celebrating its 25th Anniversary during the 2026 World Methodist Council Meeting (August 13-17, 2026) in El Salvador. WesleyMen intend to document this memorable historic gathering and grow our vital mission and priorities with an Anniversary Souvenir Program. It will serve as a collective narrative of the WesleyMen and also a venue for acknowledging individuals, churches and organizations who are with us in our journey of faith and generously share their prayers, presence, gifts, service and witness. We, therefore, invite individuals, churches, men’s organizations, business and partner agencies to please be one of our advertisers or sponsors. WesleyMen Community Engagement
Rev. Dr. David Haley is currently coordinating the plan with Bishop Juan de Dios in offering opportunities for the WMC delegates and attendees for a WesleyMen Community Engagement on Sunday, August 16, 2026 during the 2026 World Methodist Council Meeting in El Salvador. The WesleyMen Community Engagement will take place on Sunday afternoon, August 16th after Sunday worship services. The plan is to bring delegates to the western city of Ahuachapán for Sunday services because there are many Methodist churches in the area. It would be great to organize a Sunday afternoon food delivery project. There will be 8-10 persons per team going into the community, meeting people, learning their stories of struggles and hopes, offering prayers and sharing gift bags. We will send a registration sign-up sheet in advance through WesleyMen & WMC websites and email.
WesleyMen Anthem & Handbook
Dr. William presented the WesleyMen Anthem & Handbook that reflects its rich Wesleyan history, theology and missional priorities. The anthem includes stanzas about the Wesley family, World Methodist Council, and current leadership’s vision for connecting, cultivating, and collaborating with Methodist men globally. WesleyMen Board unanimously adopted the WesleyMen Anthem and will officially be presented during the WesleyMen celebratory moment on August 13, 2026 in El Salvador. Dr. William is coordinating the plans w/ Dr. David for the WesleyMen Anthem to be sung by a local church choir in El Salvador (both English and Spanish versions).
Joint Mutual Agreement between the General Commission on UMM & WesleyMen
WesleyMen Board met w/ Rev. Dr. Rick Vance, General Secretary of the General Commission on United Methodist Men with the following outcome:
- We affirmed our common Methodist theology of holding together both “personal and social holiness” and celebrated the global nature of UMM and WesleyMen.
- We emphasized on the importance of reaching out to men for Christ, discipleship-making, building relationships and impacting the communities.
- We agreed to work closely with each other, forge deeper relationships, and develop collaboration and partnership in areas such as: Intentional Discipleship, Pan-Methodist/Ecumenical Collaboration, and Leadership Development among Young Men.
- We agreed to develop a Joint Mutual Agreement (between UMM & WesleyMen) that we will present during the WesleyMen 25th Anniversary Celebration in August 2026 in El Salvador.
Give Your Loaves & Fish Campaign
WesleyMen and the World Methodist Council are partners organizations of the Prayer & Action Against Hunger Coalition (PAAHC). WesleyMen intentionally included the “Give Your Loaves & Fish” Campaign as one of our strategies for this year’s WesleyMen 25th Anniversary Celebration. At its core, this campaign is designed for coalition organizations to implement at a field level, in partnership with local churches and communities, where this is possible. This might look like:
- Piloting the campaign with a small number of churches or communities
- Integrating the campaign into existing food, nutrition, or church partnership activities
- Gathering stories, reflections, and light-touch metrics from these efforts
We recognize, however, that for some organizations, field-level implementation may not be feasible in this first year. In those cases, digital mobilization is strongly encouraged and highly valued. This could include:
- Promoting the campaign through communications, prayer, and advocacy channels
- Sharing campaign messages, stories, and resources online
- Encouraging churches and supporters to engage digitally, even if activities are limited this year
- Both field-based implementation and digital engagement are meaningful ways to participate. This is very much a “start where you are” approach.

These versions allow you to contextualize materials for your setting. We encourage you to remain aligned with the global style guide to help build cohesion across our shared efforts. - Campaign landing pages (live by Friday, in English, Spanish, and French):
- Campaign focal points:
To support coordination, communication, and learning across the coalition, we are asking each implementing country to identify a campaign focal point. This will help Andrea, our Campaign Coordinator, to connect teams, respond to questions, and capture stories and metrics to share more broadly.
Please register your focal point and interest using this form:

The campaign will formally run from 24 May (Pentecost Sunday) to 12 July. We recognize that this timeline may feel tight and that mobilization within organizations can be challenging within the next 5–6 weeks. With that in mind:
- This is the first year of this as a PAAHC campaign. It is intended as a starting point, with a view to deepening and scaling participation in future years.
- We will also mark key moments later in the year, including World Nutrition Day (28 May)—with WCC, World Vision, and Caritas exploring a shared webinar—and World Food Day (16 October), traditionally linked to WoPA, where we hope to share compelling stories from this first phase.
- The campaign can be flexible and adaptable to align with the rhythms, timelines, and capacities of partner organizations, networks, and congregations.
With gratitude,
Rev. Edgar De Jesus
World President, WesleyMen
