WesleyMen 25th Anniversary Celebration
April 7, 2026January 2026
The World Fellowship of Methodist and Uniting Church Men (also known as WesleyMen) is a global connecting point of men’s ministry for Wesleyan, Methodist, and Uniting denominations. An affiliate organization of the World Methodist Council, our mission is to lead men in Christian Fellowship with a foundation rooted in the actions and words of Jesus Christ. And our three major priorities for the new quinquennium 2025-2029 are summed up in three impactful words —CONNECT, CULTIVATE, COLLABORATE.
CONNECT

WesleyMen works closely with the World Methodist Council and its WMC Regional Bodies to deepen our connections and relationships, and to mutually collaborate and partner with each other. WesleyMen was represented at the World Methodist Council Steering Committee Meeting in Ghana in August 2025. We are connecting and building relationships with WMC leaders as well as Methodist leaders from the Africa Methodist Council, the Council of Evangelical Methodist Churches in Latin America & the Caribbean, the North American Table, the Asian Methodist Council, and the European Methodist Council— seeking stronger collaboration, partnership, and mutuality in mission.
Furthermore, the WesleyMen 25th Anniversary Celebration will be held this year 2026. We are already planning a celebration event for the August 2026 World Methodist Council Meeting in El Salvador. We are also initiating WesleyMen Regional Gatherings for the next three years from 2026 to 2028 in partnership with WMC Regional Bodies & Men’s Organization. Our goals are to (1) cultivate men’s leadership, (2) forge mutual collaboration and partnership with churches & men’s organizations, and (3) to strengthen WesleyMen as a regional and global movement. In February 2026, there will be a Joint Zoom Conversation between WesleyMen and the World Federation of Methodist & Uniting Church Women. The main goals are to build strong relationships and forge collaboration, partnership, and mutuality in mission. It is our hope and prayer that both organizations can reach a joint agreement that we can celebrate during the 2026 World Methodist Council Meeting in El Salvador.
CULTIVATE
In 2025, WesleyMen launched the “On the Move Lenten & Easter Devotionals”, “The Spirit is Moving: Our Pentecost Stories,” and adopted the 90-Day Challenge as a worldwide men’s discipleship resource with a three-stage component: Connection – Cultivation – Commissioning. It is Wesleyan in core values, adaptive, and contextually applicable to each national or regional context of the world. Moreover, WesleyMen observed International Men’s Day 2025 (IMD). With the theme: “Supporting Men & Boys to Know Jesus Christ”, the 2025 IMD is a celebration of global awareness for issues confronting men and boys: parental alienation, abuse, homelessness, depression, violence, and suicide. WesleyMen are reaching out to men and boys across the world who are looking for a place to belong, to be included, loved, embraced, and welcomed into a Christian community, and to know the transforming love, grace, and hope of Jesus Christ.

COLLABORATE
Since 2011, WesleyMen’s action component has been to bring awareness and advocate against global hunger, severe malnutrition, and starvation. We’ve operated FastPrayGive.org, issued a Prayer Statement on the Hunger Crisis in Gaza, and held a Zoom conversation with the Methodist Liaison Office in Jerusalem to increase global awareness and the Methodist community’s involvement in issues affecting Israel and Palestine. We are also actively engaged and representing the World Methodist Council to the Prayer & Action Against Hunger Coalition (PAAHC)— a coalition of Christian organizations, church-based organizations, and NGOs with primary functions to ground and coordinate responses to the global hunger crisis in prayer, raise awareness about the issue, and mobilize the global church to take faith-driven action.

Finally, the governing Board of Directors of WesleyMen met on January 8th, 2026, and collectively supports the Evangelical Methodist Churches of Latin America (CIEMAL) Pastoral Letter on Venezuela. The board further states, “We condemned all forms of violence, including military aggression. And we are standing in solidarity with The Evangelical Methodist Churches of Latin America and the Caribbean (CIEMAL – Consejo de Iglesias Evangélicas Metodistas de América Latina y El Caribe), committing ourselves to prayer, advocacy, and action for peace grounded in justice.”
In closing, we are grateful to Bishop Debra Wallace-Padgett, Rev. Dr. Léo Neto, the WMC Steering Committee, and the WesleyMen Board for their constant prayers, commitment, mutuality, and solidarity. May the Pentecost Spirit be with the WesleyMen and the World Methodist family!
With gratitude,
Rev. Edgar De Jesus
World President
